if all is working properly, you should now be able to update your journals
by emailing an entry to "update@hatelife.net". you need to put your
password in the 'subject' field, and in the body of the email, demarcate
the beginning of your entry with "title:"; what follows immediately after
"title:" will be the title of your entry, and everything after that line
will be the text of your journal entry.
if your email client uses plaintext and doesn't use a signature, then
that's all you need to know. if you're using hotmail or somesuch thing,
though, and you want to cut out the extra garbage appended to the end of
your emails from appearing in your journal, then just put "stop" on its
own line at the end of the text you wish to enter.
